vCIO
Driving change is the job of the CIO, but it is not an easy task, particularly for individuals new to organizations or "moving up" to the IT executive's chair.  Our iCIO and vCIO consulting engagements help foster change in difficult and “turnaround” situations.

How We Work:  We are able to offer a consultant to serve in a coaching role (virtual CIO or vCIO) for a new CIO or IT Director in order to provide a sounding board and “another set of eyes” for the IT leader.  We have found this approach to be particularly compelling when companies or organizations are growing and need new personnel to exert wider influence over the IT sphere, or need in-place personnel to "step-up" and take greater responsibility.  Personal growth for IT personnel is often measured in terms of technical prowess; when the time comes to transition to a management or executive position, often these individuals do not have the interpersonal and management skills to succeed in new and unfamiliar role.  We can help these individuals achieve success.

vCIO Approach:

  • Assess strengths, weaknesses, impediments to success
  • Define personal action plan
  • Provide advice and counsel on technical approaches and strategy
  • Coach for performance
  • Coach on interpersonal interactions and style
  • Assist in team-building with peers, direct reports and customers
  • Assess progress and needs
